Perhaps to someone who’s grown up around here, pronghorn antelope aren’t that thrilling.
To someone who grew up east of the Mississippi, they are pretty durned cool.

Too true. Familiarity breeds contempt. My dad would point them out as we drove back and forth from Salt Lake City to Casper. Bison, pararie dogs, and deer would get a ho-hum reaction. Bears and mountain lions would mean a call to animal control. Ok, I’ve never seen those last two in the wild, only news reports every year about suburban invasions.
