Prep for a hot date at Panhandle Coop Plaza Foods?

September 12, 2010

Occasionally, grocery store aisle signs make me laugh.

The last one that gave me the giggles was in Nevada (pronounced nuh-VAY-duh), Iowa. Depending upon where you were raised, you either refer to sparking beverages as “pop” or “soda” (except for you weirdlings in the south who only drink “coke”). The Nevada Fareway made sure there was no mistake. They carried both pop and soda.

Which brings me to the Panhandle Coop Plaza Foods grocery store in Scottsbluff.

I happened to glance up while perusing the wine aisle, and I got a good giggle.

Here it is. Do you see why I laughed?

If you’re prepping for that hot date, head to Plaza Foods! You can quickly pick up a nice bottle of wine AND deodorant and toothpaste, to make sure your romantic evening is body-odor free. (The floral department is adjacent to the wine aisle, too, FYI.)

Speaking of wine and Panhandle Coop Plaza Foods, I discovered that they carry locally-produced wines from Prairie Vine and 17 Ranch. It’s not in the aisle with the regular wines. It’s one aisle east.

Nice! If you want to treat an out-of-towner, but don’t have time to head to the wineries themselves, you can head to Plaza Foods.

Well, I suppose the over-use of the first products does definitely warrant a need for the following products. 🙂

And both wineries put out very good products! Check them out!
